Reading books is such a great past time. It can be a way to learn, a way to grow your mind or even just a way to escape to an imaginary world ? all of them are fabulous! I have always been a lover of reading. At high school I remember my reading list would always be overflowing and you’d often find a book in my hand.
In 2017 I was introduced to the world of personal development. Before which I had never heard of, I don’t need that right?
I’m so grateful now, I think we can all benefit from some personal development or just reading in general. Today I’m going to share with you some of my favourite books that have impacted my life. You know the books you can’t put down or know you will read multiple times?
Girl, Stop Apologizing by Rachel Hollis
In Girl, Stop Apologizing, #1 New York Times best-selling author and founder of a multimillion-dollar media company, Rachel Hollis sounds a wake-up call and lets listeners in on her personal roadmap for success. She knows many women have been taught to define themselves through other people—whether as wife, mother, daughter, or employee—instead of learning how to own who they are and what they want. Challenging women everywhere to stop talking themselves out of their dreams, Hollis identifies the excuses to discard, the behaviours to adopt, and the skills to acquire on the path to believing in yourself.
I’m not sure how many times I’ve listened to this on Audible but I love it every time and every time something different stands out to me. Rachel shares a lie at the start of each chapter and I’m sure like me you will be able to relate to a lot.

Let’s be honest I could go on for a long time recommending books, there are just so many good ones. I have so many on my Audible account I could just keep repeating them. I tend to have a physical book + audio book on the go at the same time, perfect for different times in the day. I would love to hear what books have made a huge impact in your life, share them below.
A book can have a huge impact on your life when you least expect it. So grab yourself a cuppa (or glass of vino!) and settle in with a good book for some me time.
